In our work-first culture, productivity and focus are priorities for success. For many, the idea of taking a break is counterintuitive because there never seems to be enough time in the day as it is. Not to mention, this idea that if you take a break you'll lose focus and motivation. It's amazing how we hold so tightly to these principals, when there is so much evidence out there to the contrary.
I invite you to wonder with me for a moment about whether or not your current lifestyle leaves you feeling inadequate, like you can never quite catch up. Or maybe you're restless, and never quite satisfied with how you spend your time. If you're feeling similarly, I encourage you to consider a new approach. With COVID leaving us so technology-bound, I find that many are struggling with boredom and distraction more than ever.
