​Emotional support animals can have significant benefits when it comes to helping individuals cope with debilitating mental health symptoms. At IHW, we offer evaluations to determine eligibility for ESA letters. We do not require that you be an existing client or long-term client in order to benefit from this service. However, it is important to understand that obtaining an evaluation does not guarantee you will be approved for an ESA letter. The assessor must consider laws, ethics, and clinical appropriateness when making this determination. See link below for legal requirements as outlined by the HUD.
